IBO Shooting School with Coach Tim Strickland The International Bowhunting Organization Shooting School, under the direction of coach Tim Strickland, is quickly filling its 2008 schedule after a busy end to 2007. Competitive archers and bowhunters have given the course great reviews. Those interested in attending classes in 2008 and beyond are encouraged to make plans to do so well in advance. Strickland's five-section coaching program provides shooting students a total system along with the information needed to become successful archers. Main sections of instruction will include Form, Shot Execution, The Mental Game, Goal Setting, and Tuning. "All sections are very important and work together to formulate a simple and progressive learning method, that when put into practice will improve the level of shooting skill and also make archery a lot more enjoyable," Strickland explained. "Many of the principles outlined in my class can be applied to every aspect of life and can work to enhance success in many ways." Tim Strickland has excelled as a professional archer with several national and international titles. He has coached multiple top-ranked professionals on the 3-D circuit, including IBO Triple Crown Champions, IBO World Champions and the ASA Shooter of the Year. He has worked with private students and members of the United States Olympic Team for the last five Summer Olympics. His students have accounted for several of the medals brought home from these games. Currently, Strickland serves as advisor and consultant in sales and marketing and new product development with several major companies, including Easton, Hoyt/USA, Golden Key, Sure-Loc, SKB Bow cases and Robinson Labs. He is vice president of Sales and Marketing for Brownell & Co. and oversees the Pro Staff for Hoyt.
